Funeral Flower Preservation UK
Funeral Flower Preservation UK
Flowers can hold an incredibly special place in our memories, particularly when they are connected to the funeral or memorial service of someone we love.
At Nogard Creations, we can preserve flowers from a funeral, memorial service or sympathy arrangement and transform them into a lasting keepsake. Whether you would like to preserve a few meaningful petals or create a larger piece containing several flowers, we offer a range of resin keepsakes and framed displays to help you keep those memories close.
Based in Cambridgeshire, our husband-and-wife team carefully handcrafts every piece and accepts funeral and memorial flowers from families across the UK. We understand how precious these flowers can be and treat every order with the care and respect it deserves.
Why Preserve Funeral Flowers?
Funeral flowers are often chosen with great care and can hold a lot of meaning for a family. They may have been selected because they were a loved one's favourite flowers, chosen to represent their personality or simply sent as a thoughtful expression of love and sympathy.
Preserving some of these flowers can provide a lasting reminder of your loved one and the ceremony to remember them. Rather than letting every flower disappear once the funeral or memorial service has passed, a small selection can be turned into a keepsake that can be displayed at home and treasured for years to come.
There is no right or wrong amount to preserve. Some families choose a single flower or a few petals, while others prefer a larger piece containing several flowers. We can help you explore the options available based on the flowers you have and the type of keepsake you would like.
How Does Funeral Flower Preservation Work?
When your flowers arrive with us, we carefully assess their condition before preparing them for preservation. Every flower is different, and factors such as the type of flower, how old it was when we received it, how it has been handled and how it has travelled to us can all affect how it dries and how it may look when preserved.
We carefully prepare the flowers selecting the blooms and petals that are most suitable for your chosen keepsake before beginning the drying process. Depending on your chosen design, the flowers can then be arranged and encapsulated in resin or carefully incorporated into a framed display.
Because we are working with natural flowers, we cannot guarantee that every flower will preserve successfully or look exactly as it did when fresh. Natural changes in colour, shape and texture can occur during the drying and preservation process.
We treat every set of funeral and memorial flowers individually and take care to make the most of the flowers we receive, creating a keepsake that is unique to your loved one and your family.
What Funeral Flowers Can Be Preserved?
We can work with many different types of funeral and memorial flowers, including individual blooms, flowers from arrangements, wreaths and selected flowers from larger funeral tributes.
You don't necessarily need to send an entire arrangement. If there are particular flowers that hold special meaning, you may choose to preserve just a few blooms or petals instead.
The amount of flowers needed will depend on the keepsake you choose. Smaller pieces may only require a few petals or part of a flower, while larger resin pieces and framed displays can accommodate more flowers.
If you're unsure which flowers to send or how much to send, please contact us before posting them. We can help you understand what may be suitable for the type of keepsake you're considering.

Funeral Flower Preservation Cost & Timescale
How much does funeral flower preservation cost?
The cost depends on the type and size of keepsake you choose, the amount of flowers you would like preserved and any personalisation or additional design options.
We offer smaller keepsakes containing a few petals or individual flowers, as well as larger resin pieces, framed displays and bespoke designs. This means there are different options available depending on the flowers you have and the type of keepsake you're looking for.
Our current prices are available on our website, where you can browse the different flower preservation options and see the sizes and designs available.
How long does funeral flower preservation take?
Our minimum processing time is 30 weeks, but depending on the type of preservation, the size of your order and our current workload, your finished piece can take up to 12 months to complete.
Flower preservation is a detailed process. Your flowers need to be carefully dried and prepared before your keepsake can be created, and larger or more detailed pieces can require additional time.
We appreciate that waiting for a memorial keepsake can be difficult, which is why we aim to be clear about our timescales from the beginning and keep you informed throughout the process.
Funeral Flower Preservation FAQs
Yes. Many funeral and memorial flowers can be preserved in resin or incorporated into a framed display. The final result will depend on the type, condition and age of the flowers when they reach us, so we assess every set of flowers individually.
Can you preserve flowers from a funeral wreath or funeral arrangement?
Yes. We can work with selected flowers from funeral wreaths, sprays and other funeral arrangements. You don't necessarily need to send the entire arrangement — we can discuss which flowers you would like to preserve and what may be suitable for your chosen keepsake.
How soon after a funeral should I send the flowers?
We recommend sending flowers to us as soon as possible after the funeral or memorial service to achieve the best results. Flowers naturally change after they have been cut, and their condition can be affected by how they are handled and stored. If you're unsure what to do with the flowers before sending them, please contact us for guidance.
Do I have to send all of the funeral flowers?
No. You can choose to preserve just one flower, a few petals or a selection of meaningful blooms. The amount required depends on the size and type of keepsake you choose.
What happens if the flowers have already started to wilt or dry?
Flowers can change considerably after being cut, so their condition when they reach us can affect the preservation process and finished result. We will always assess the flowers we receive and do our best to make the most of them, but we cannot guarantee that every flower will preserve successfully or retain its original appearance. Usually flowers that are wilted, browned or starting to dry can be preserved, however if they have mould on them we unfortunately cannot preserve them.
Can I send funeral flowers to you by post?
Yes. We accept funeral and memorial flowers from families across the UK. We'll provide guidance on preparing and packaging the flowers for their journey to us. If you're unsure about posting your flowers, please contact us before sending them.
